Asia Pacific Cricket Club Upgrades Inventory

Asia Pacific Cricket has just upgraded their inventory, there were new addition of bats from Top Class Brands such as CA, Malik & Adidas. Furthermore protection gears have also been added for upcoming season from an international class brand. The team will be starting net sessions soon and will be ready for the upcoming season of 2013 with some new talent introduced. The team is motivated and hoping for a better season that 2012.

7th MAPCU CRICKET CHAMPIONS- ASIA PACIFIC UNIVERSITY DEFENDS THE TITLE AGAIN FOR 2012

Finally!! The CHAMPIONS have done it again! They have won the title for the third consecutive time making a mark on the MAPCU Sports Carnival @ The University of Nottingham Malaysian Campus. There was a lot of Gangam Style at the end of the semi finals and the finals. Finally we thank all the supporters who were present their at the venue to support their team and what a joy at their face at the end of the day. APU got off to a shaky start by losing to INTI by more then 15runs, where INTI gave a target of 60+ Runs in their first match, but due to Limkokwing pulling out, APU had nothing to lose as they already qualified for Quarter Finals. They were lacking some balling as there were a lot of extras given but then they bounce back very strong and in the Quarter Finals they played against Monash University and gave them a target of 53 runs and then won by 3 runs as it was a close match. The semi final was played with HELP University where they looked helpless as the whole team was back in their dug out posting just 27 runs on the scorecard. This target was easily chased by APU openers without losing a wicket. The Final!!! A.P.U recalled its previous two years Championship and wanted to make sure that this one match can add on something more to their MAPCU History Book with some golden words. We had the match with INTI again (the same team with whom we lost our first match), but boys morale was high, team was very passionate about getting the victory. And then they restricted the INTI side to 30 odd runs and made sure that CHAMPIONS OF LAST TWO CONSECUTIVE YEARS REMAIN AS CHAMPIONS AND LEAVE THE VENUE WITH HIGH SPIRITS AND THE CROWN OF 7th MAPCU SPORTS CARNIVAL CRICKET CHAMPIONS. Last Assignments for APU Cricket for 2012

APU Cricket Club is reaching the end of the season for 2012 with UKM Super 6s followed by the mega event "MAPCU Super 6s 2012". This for all the reader's knowledge that APU is last two year's consecutive champion, winning MAPCU again for the third time creating a hatrick will create history for APU among the top Private cricketing Universities in Malaysia. On behalf of APU students and staff we wish our team all the very best in future games.

IIUM 6-Aside Inter Varsity Tournament, 2012

UCTI have won the IIUM Interversity 6 Aside Tournament. UCTI was the only team that was unbeatable through out the tournament and it was a great team effort under the supervision of Taimoor. Usman Hashmi, once again with his outstanding batting claimed the player of the series award.

UKM T-20 Minister Cup

The first tournament for the season 2012 for team U.C.T.I, will start from 25th January, 2012. The squad has been announced today. But this time team U.C.T.I will be playing with a lot of new faces. Almost half of the team will be new but the candidates selected are on merit bases and let's see whether they can prove themselves capable enough to play the role of the seniors.
U.C.T.I will be playing their first match against USM followed by the second one on 26th Jan against a strong UKM side and the last pool game on 27th of January, 2012 against UUM.

RESULT: UCTI WIN BY 64 RUNS.

RESULT: UCTI WIN BY 64 RUNS.

It was a great team effort and the fielding department dominated the whole match from the beginning. Some great catches by Waleed (wk), Abdul Qadir & Salman Khan. Faris was the top scorer (48) for UCTI followed by Usman Hashmi(c) (31), Taimoor and Faizshal also played some good cricket and provided some momentum to UCTI Innings. Waqas Khan was on top of his bowling by picking up 2 wickets whereas Taimoor, Usman and Abdul Qadir were able to take each for their 4 overs.

MATCH 1- UCTI Vs C-TRACK
RESULT: UCTI WIN BY 4 WICKETS WITH 6 BALLS REMAINING.

UCTI was given a target of 155 in 20 Overs by C track in first game. Taimoor, Zain & Usman were dominated all the batsmen throughout the first Innings. Taimoor picked up 3 wickets whereas Usman and Zain took couple.
It was then UCTI skipper who lead from front and played a quick fire knock of 36 runs with Danial being a perfect foil and gave a solid base for UCTI Chase. It was Taimoor again who went in for Usman's place and made sure to take the team home.
Hence in the end Taimoor making 42 not out, helped team to reach victory.
UCTI will be playing there second league match on 24th July, 2011 against HP Knights XI.
